This is one of my favorites for when I want a dense, dark and VERY detailed game to play. The second was a recommendation from a friend that also plays well on the XBox One: Path of Exile. My wife has played through at least four times to my one and a half, and I haven't even played Torchlight II yet, but she says it's great too. The gameplay was easy to pick up and engaging, even when being played on a console. It was not surprising to learn that the designers from Diablo and D2 were involved. Beautiful artwork and design with a flowing musical score, it quickly became the favorite. The first was Torchlight and we just loved how utterly enjoyable and strangely relaxing it was. Lately since we've been busier and even more crowded, the XBox One in the living room has become a way to unwind and we were pleased to find two series that seemed to capture that Diablo-esque magic. Can't say enough about how much credit the creators deserve. Even as the years have taken up with marrying, having kids and managing a household, we'd occasionally spark up a D2 play-through for fun, the last time was a couple years ago when we brought our oldest daughter into the game.
We liked that we had at least one rainy-day activity (besides the obvious) that we could share. My wife and I both were in the right age-range when Diablo and D2 came about and enjoyed them immensely.
